What is it?
BE SUMMER is an Intensive Dance Program aimed at young dancers, aged between 14 and 18 years. It proposes a week of technical and artistic work with choreographers of recognized national and international merit. After a successful first edition, BE SUMMER is back for the 2020 edition, which will take place in Torres Vedras, between. 20 to 25 July.
The course will happen in the studios of Performact, Torres Vedras, and will also be sharing the facilities of the Summer Intensive Festival.
To make things short, BE SUMMER is the youngest version of the Summer Intensive Festival!
It is especially directed at dancers from Vocational Schools, Conservatories and other Establishments of Specialised Teaching in Dance that aged between 14 and 18 years old.
With this event, it is intended to open up space for the participation of young dancers at the Summer Intensive Festival, allowing contact with Choreographers from various parts of the world and the inherent learning and development of new techniques, methods, and languages of the movement.
It is also the purpose of BE SUMMER to act in a logic of school enriching, from the point of view of access to experimentation and the exchange of experience or reinforcement of values such as the sharing and mutual assistance between participants.

Lunch is available at Performact. Meals require previous booking, held at the time of registration, through of the Registration Form. The organization offers vegetarian meals. Breakfasts and snacks are the responsibility of each participant. The space has a kitchen equipped with a fridge and microwave. There are cafes and pastries near to Performact space.
Participants should arrive on July 19 from 2 pm and leave on July 25 from 11 pm.
Check in & Check out
CANTONMENT - the participant may overnight in Performact space at no additional cost. Need to bring mattress, bed bag and outerwear. The organization ensures the monitoring and supervision of the group in cantonment.
ARCOS HOTEL - alternative to cantonment, located approx. at 500 meters from Performact.

The following documents must be attached to the e-mail:
Registration Form fully completed and signed
(should print, fill, scan and send)
Term of Responsibility duly completed and signed by the responsible for the participant's education
Copy of the participant's Identification Document
Proof of payment
Payment is made at the time of registration, by bank transfer, to IBAN: PT50 5340 5341 02092800001 87 (ILU Association)
Proof of payment must be sent to the e-mail address email@example.com, along with the Registration Form, Term of Responsability and copy of Identification Document of the participant. After submitting these documents, the registration is considered valid. Once the registration is confirmed there will be no refund.

A stage for the arts, located in the historic centre of Torres Vedras. It offers 6 dance studios, a lounge area, WCs equipped with hot showers, an equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave and water dispenser).
